My Story

My name is Gesina and I am the face behind RIANJA. Rianja is named after my three biggest blessings, my three children:

Rita, Anthony and Jason.

I have thoroughly enjoyed raising my three children with my favourite aspect of motherhood being the joy I feel when I get to watch my family sit around the dinner table enjoying the food, I have so happily and eagerly prepared for them. Cooking tradition Italian dishes, often recipes that have been handed down by my Calabrian generational lineage. The arancini are one of my favourite and with the 9piece arancini mould I have been able to make a lot more arancini in a lot less time.

Fast forward to 2023 - RIANJA Pty Ltd was created. A “light bulb” moment occurred, whilst I was making arancini at home and taking forever. I pondered on what could make this process easier for me, perhaps in a way where I could spend less time making more Arancini balls. I came up with the idea of creating a silicone mould. I let my creative side take over with the design and manufacturing. Now here I am, no longer does it take me hours to make a large batch of arancini, when all the ingredients are on hand, I can whip up arancini’s in no time.
